if i go to another LAN, i might get re-assigned 192.168.1.10.
when i get home and my router sees 192.168.1.10, the port forwarding will not go through.

so it's a bit of a pain sometimes.

any solutions?
(besides assigning a fixed IP, which may make the laptop unusable for the second LAN)....
Buy a Wireless PCMCIA Nic Card

Static IPs Are set to the network card. so set one to a static IP i.e. 192.168.1.2 and leave the other to Auto DNS. all you have to do then is when at home connect to the network with the network card with the static IP. When out and about use the other network card
