I agree.
But..
Some people need a scaffold to understand their existence.
Others do not.
If I try to rip away their scaffold I succeed in nothing but isolating myself further from them, increasing the strength of their defences and relinquishing the chance to understand another perspective of humanity, regardless of whether it is flawed or not.
All in all, they are all just bricks in the wall.
Btw Stolen, I agree with you that religion is the thing we spend most of our time doing. A fantastical image overlaying the essential belief in something good is for me superior to self-possessed and unwavering certainty in something rotten.
Yes I know that 'religion' is not something good per se, however, faith has the potential to be which is why I do not and can not take the easier path of denial and avoidance of the entire road, merely to not step in the dog shit.
