Default Latest UTorrent has ties with MPAA...

From a source within RelicDuDe's friends....

Since µTorrent sold out to BitTorrent.inc (in a very sly manner) which is known to have links with the MPAA & RIAA there will always be some caution, no one wants to get busted. I personally haven't updated and find 1.6.1 still perfectly fine, i have my doubts over how popular µTorrent will stay in light of new developments, while there is no solid proof that your ip could be sent to the MPAA there is none to say there isn't a way for them to find out, public trackers are still the biggest threat for users as they will be/are used to dump fake torrents on and collect ip's.

Some trackers are already banning the latest µTorrent and there will probably be quite some debate over how secure it and any future releases will be, i expect there will be a new client developed by someone within the torrent community, but who knows. This is one subject that will go on for a long time and arguments for and against will probably be fairly equal.

My vote, no, i don't trust it.. DO NOT UPDATE, OR USE LATEST VERSION OF Utorrent.
