the one thing is that if you connect your laptop to several LANs, your IP number may be re-assigned when you connect to your orig LAN for bittorrent downloads.

let's say i config my linksys to open port 8888 to my IP 192.168.1.2.

if i go to another LAN, i might get re-assigned 192.168.1.10.
when i get home and my router sees 192.168.1.10, the port forwarding will not go through.

so it's a bit of a pain sometimes.

any solutions?
(besides assigning a fixed IP, which may make the laptop unusable for the second LAN)....
