I'm a soldier, and I'm going over there soon.
Did you know that over 600,000 Iraqis have died since the war began?
Anyways, I think we have a responsibility to fix things over there, since we fucked them all up. I knew I was putting my life on the line when I raised my hand, and believe that going over there will do a small part to defend our country. Yeah, we've managed to piss a lot of people off, yeah it was perhaps a mistake to go in the first place, but now we're there and a lot of Iraqis are counting on us. Like the ones that have "collaborated" with the US, believing that we wouldn't turn tail and run, leaving them to be tortured and killed.
So I'd like to hear what you have to think about the war, and what we should do.
