Default A tale with a moral...

A tale with a moral...

On a farm lived a chicken and a horse who were great friends and spent most
of their spare time hanging out together.

One day, they were out walking when the horse fell into a swampy area and
began to sink into the mud. Scared for his life, the horse begged the
chicken to fetch the farmer to rescue him.

The chicken ran back to the farm and searched everywhere for the farmer.
Unfortunately, the farmer had gone to town to deliver hay to the co-op, and
had taken the only tractor for that purpose. The chicken began to despair,
a! nd ran around just like a chicken with its head cut off. Almost on the
verge of giving up, the chicken ran smack into the farmer's brand-new Harley
and almost knocked himself out. After regaining his composure, the chicken
jumped onto the seat of the Harley and saw that the farmer had left the key
in the ignition. The chicken suddenly realized that he might be able to
save his friend, after all. The chicken started the motorcycle, drove into
the barn where he grabbed a length of stout rope, and, with his little
chicken heart full of hope, sped off to save his friend.

Back at the bog, the horse, who had all but given up hope, was happy to see
his friend, but realized with horror that the farmer had not come to rescue
him. "What can we do now", the horse said, "there's no way you can save me
by yourself!"

The chicken tossed one end of the rope to the horse and told him to hold on
tight. After tying the other end of the rope to the rear ! bumper of the
bike, the chicken drove slowly forward and pulled the horse to safety.
Happy and proud, the chicken drove the Harley back to where he had found it,
and the farmer was none the wiser.

Thus, the friendship between the two animals was cemented: Best buddies,
best pals.

A few weeks later, the two friends were out walking again, and the chicken
fell into a mud pit and he began to slowly sink to a certain death. "Quick,
run back to the farm and get the motorcycle and some rope", he shouted to
his friend.

The horse thought for a moment, walked over to where the chicken was stuck
and straddled the large puddle. After situating himself, the horse told the
chicken to grab onto his hangy-down thing and hold on.

The chicken grabbed hold, and the horse walked away with his friend in tow.

Now for the moral of the story....

When you're hung like a horse, you don't need a Harley! to pick up chicks...
