Bit Tornado comes as an option with the Ubuntu Synaptic Package Manager. I installed this client the other day and it works quite well. I got a 10GB full season TV show in just under 24 hours. I think I will stick with this one.

I am such a noob i've only downloaded one file so far but for linux ncurses
(no xwindow just using a shell)
*** rTorrent 0.7.1 - libTorrent 0.11.1 ***

seems to work OK
see http://libtorrent.rakshasa.no/

oo they have an Ubuntu package too

So now I want to make a torrent in linux using only the shell. Turns out rTorrent doesn't make em, just gets em. I found a *really* easy program called createtorrent from http://www.createtorrent.com/

you just type createtorrent -a useekfile.com -p 2710 <filetoadd> <filetoadd.torrent>

done!

I actually Love using Azureus!

I can't seem to use any other client (not sure how to use). It may take up some resources, but I havent got the most powerful PC but can still run the client and watch a movies or even play Command and Conquer 3 at the same time

I'd have to agree, Azureus takes up a lot of resources. Haven't tried anything else yet but will try out Utorrent. It seems like thats a good program. So I'll give that one a try.

This is what I've been using for the last two years orso, and it works great.
It's very light, fast, stable, and easy.

createtorrent doesn't work that good, I can't remember what it was (It was some time ago.).
Azureus runs on most unix(-like) platforms, so I use that or reboot utorrent on windows...

Default Bittorrent

I've been using Bittorent of a little while now, and it seems to work ok. I'm using Windows Vista (which I'm not entirely happy with), and am wondering what would be the best client to use. I saw a screenshot of uTorrent, and it seems to look just like Bittorent. Anyone know the difference or what is better? I also tried eMule, and it took forever to download anything.
