Arrow LIST of Popular Bittorrent CLIENTS

Here is a list of most major clients. it doesnt cover ALL clients just ones that seem to be most popular. for new users we recommend Utorrent or Bit Tornado for simplicity. my own favorites have smilies:

Utorrent - http://www.utorrent.com/ Cool
G3 Torrent - https://sourceforge.net/projects/g3torrent/
ABC - http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/
Ziptorrent - http://www.ziptorrent.com/
Azureus - http://azureus.sourceforge.net/ Cool
Bit Spirit - http://www.bytelinker.com/intl/bs.htm Cool
Bit Lord - http://www.bitlord.com/
Bit Comet - http://www.bitcomet.com/ Cool
Bit Tornado - http://bittornado.com/ Cool
Burst! - http://krypt.dyndns.org:81/torrent/i...ction=download Cool
Rufus (used to be G3) - http://rufus.sourceforge.net/
Torrent Storm - http://www.torrentstorm.com/
XBT - http://xbtt.sourceforge.net/client/
Shareaza - http://www.shareaza.com/ (regular p2p client that handles torrents also)
Turbo Torrent - http://www.turbotorrent.com/
TurboBT - http://sourceforge.net/projects/turbobt
Torrentopia - http://www.torrentopia.org/ (NEW VERSION!)
Bit Torrent (original client. a.k.a "Mainline". we DO NOT recommend using this as it has issues!) - http://www.bittorrent.com/index.html

here's a review of some major clients :
http://www.grauw.nl/articles/bittorrent.php

MAC CLIENTS : Pure Mac has ALL your Peer to Peer clients including torrent clients. also, there are a couple of MAC clients here along with some other p2p clients : http://www.mac-p2p.com/ and here is a better site for torrent info and clients : http://www.macdgran.com/torrent.htm
bits on wheels is a mac client too.

remember that many clients are buggy. each has different functions. some of the better ones dont look as snazzy as others. some look great but lack function. so you have to experiment to find one that works for YOU. there really isnt any such thing as the "best" client for everyone IMHO. its a matter of personal taste etc. however AZUREUS seems to be winning the client wars so far. if you are new to bt then i recommend bittornado, utorrent, xbt for ease of use. so happy hunting!

What client is your favourite at the moment?

I`m using BitComet, but I`ve heard many good things about utorrent, should i consider change to that one?

Which one of these clients, if any, work on Linux? I see there are some for MAC, and I have heard about some Linux ones before, but has anyone here used a Linux bt client?

Why are you promoting rip-off clients like Bit-Lord? You should be advising new peopel to torrents to use utorrent or Azureus.

BitComet is also rubbish and is banned from most private trackers

Default Bitcomet

the new bitcomet is the best

.it fixes the port limit in Windows Xp Sp2 which is set by default to 10 ports only .( recommended is 50 for faster downloads and security protection)
.it has an integrated download accelerator to download other
files than torrent file.
.lite on system more lite than azureus
