Default Bit Tornado Error

I am using Bit Tornado on Ubuntu Linux. I have used this before and never received this error, but it seems now that when I try adn download more than 1 torrent file, I get an error that says "address already in use" It works fine on one file, but won't let anymore files DL until the first file is completed.

Also, if I try and use Bit Tornado on Windows and it works fine, doesn't give me this error at all.

Any ideas what is causing this?

i could say.. try using Windows...

But i really haven't got any idea about Linux.. never used it, never will. It seems to me, that your client is using ur IP address. and once in use.. it can't use it again, for some reason.. If i remember correctly, its a program that you can have started many times, on a windows machine.. but obviously not on a Linux Machine...

Ever tried Azureus ?... or Utorrent ?.. Bit tornado is a bit outdated...

Azureus is a resource hog, both on Linux and Windows, although it works better on Linux than XP. UTorrent isn't available for Ubuntu, that I can find.

I did find the problem though...the torrent files weren't opening Bit Tornado, they were opening the old "bit torrent" client instead. This was the client giving the errors. I corrected the error and it is working fine now.

Good to hear you solved the prob.. I am using windows Vista Ultimate with all goody's running, and i use Azureus.. It takes resources.. indeed.. but i can still surf, post on a forum, edit pictures, make a video.. watch a film, or play an SP game like Halflife2 smoothly.. so it really isn't that bad.. tbh.

I have Utorrent installed.. but never used it yet. I bet you can find a better client for Linux, if you want.. I could even help you track down some.. After all.. i used Bit Tornado like 10 years ago... And to my knowledge, it didn't get updated eversince.. So it seems a bit outdated.. but ofcourse its up to your own prefs...
