which one is better.. bit torrent of bit comet..


i am presently using bit comet.. i am getting only 50kb per sec..
and i am using a broadband with router..
pls help me out

This is a difficult question to answer as there are many different torrent clients and people have different opinions based on preferences. If you are new to torrents and downloading.

I would personally recommend uTorrent, you will find plenty of people who use it and can offer advice if your having problems.

The main reason you could be experiencing slow downloads is due to the number of people Seeding the files your are trying to download. If the number of seeders is low, say below 20. You may experience slower download speeds.

The downloading speed of the files your try to download, is not just based on the speed of your internet connection, it is based on the number of people with a full version of the files your after (i.e. Seeders)

Other things to check is that you have your ports forwarded correctly on your router, check out;

Also it maybe that your ISP has the ability to restrict the speeds of transfer for torrent data. The way around this is to use a torrent client that uses encrypted transfer for the data, this stops your ISP identifying the torrent data and limiting it. Check out this post.

To be honest it is probably due to the amount of seeds for the torrent you are downloading.
