Lightbulb annoying

sometimes firewalls can get annoying becasue a message will say "do you want to allow on block this network on your computer". that can be very annoying!

It is free yes.

I have had it for a few days, but I`m not sure if its like "the best" free firewall or if there are any better free ones?

Exclamation Nod32 Vs Bitdefender

i was infected by medbot.dc trojan and nod32 always detected the virus and blocked its access to quarantine but never deleted the folder that the virus created (c:\win32\..)
with many suspicious programs and files inside.it never fixed my registry either and kept always detecting the virus from time to time even after it moves the detected files to quarantine . IT JUST NEVER KILLED THE MAIN FILE THAT REPRODUCES THE VIRUS.

well i did an Online Virus Scan with Bitdefender site (http://www.bitdefender.com/) and guess what it detected the threat , cleaned my registry , deleted the folder !
so the result : is one zero for Bitdefender Vs Nod32.( though the bitdefender firewall is so damn complicated and tough it really a forteress that it blocks my own net surfing hehe, i recommend just the scanner and a windows firewall would be lovely)

Ps: its a great idea to have a 1 : A system setup antivirus like Nod32 plus 2 periodical online scan with bitdefender or trendmicro online scanner . u will forget about those antispyware removing programs

Default kaspersky

I have tried everything available and landed on kaspersky because its the only av that will stand up to scans by all the others. I have yet to find anything scanning with avg, bitdefender, prevx,sd,ewido or black ice. And these are all good programs. The leaktests on the firewall are the best in the industry to date.

Default Kerio free firewall

Kerio's free version is pretty much the same as their paid version with a couple of non-critical items turned off after 30 days. I used it for two years after I fired Norton and only changed when I went with Kaspersky. I highly recommend it.
