I agree that kaspersky is prob the best. But it's difficult to get free version McAfee 18mnth licence easy to come by. I use Peer Guardian and SB search n destroy aswell. But best defence is backing up your system!!

I am using Kerio personal firewall.. a pretty good thingy tbh. Protects ur puter from outside, and inside attacks, and unwanted changes.. And as antivirus i have used Nod32 for quite a while, but just yesterday switched to Bitdefender antivirus.

Default Antivirus

I use AVG as it doesn't slow my system down.(and it's free)
I use Spybot and Adaware to remove spyware.(and it's free)
I use the firewall built into XP and have a Firewall built into the router also.

That will not save you... u need a 2 way firewall.. not that open invitation of M$. Itm might keep badguys out.. but it wont protect you from yourself.. because it doesn't keep a lock on the outdoor. My advice is Kerio Personal firewall..

Its a damn good firewall... and its free...

It will keep everything out, and even if they get in, they wont get out again...

Smile Firewall

Zone Alarm is supposed to have one of the best firewalls around too, I think it's free but I'm not sure. It's another option for you to check out Mr Windoz.
