I'm a cheap kind of guy--I go with AVG freeware, because it's what I can afford at $7.80 an hour (part time). Seems to do a pretty thorough job.

I use NOD 32 it's user friendley and it doesn't consume CPU resources example Norton & Macaffee

I use kaspersky it's very secure but eat alot of memory
