Default What Anti-Virus & Firewall do you use?

Well I use kaspersky for both, I hav etried the others but in my opinion Kaspersky rocks

yea, i am using kaspersky, its really good, but i also have a spyware and adware remover for extra

i used to use bitdefender, it was all good at finding things that were infected but didnt do anything about deleting them :s

I use Zone Alarm as a Firewall,

And I use AVG antivirus by Grisoft

i use ad-aware and spydot search and destroy to kill spy and malware.
you'd be surprised at the stuff you find on your system.

she has a working version!

most important thing with any scanner is that you regularly download the updates.

had a contact who said they had a scanner, but still viruses got onto their system.

i checked it and found they hadn't done a single update since installation (about 2 years ago).

duh............

so the lesson is keep checking for updates. sometimes you might even have 2-3 updates in a single week, depending on whether there's a viral pandemic...

And most of the virus programs nowadays have automatic updates, so people wont have any problems with the update process.

yea, with kaspersky it automatically updates without bothering you
thats another thing i cant stand about bitdefender, no matter what you do, it always has a popup of the update status, and a few times, it takes a good 5 minutes to update, its quite annoying, especially since it updates every hour or so
