yes..they will discontinue support they say...My guess is they will stall back into 2009..xp is too much in demand...and it will take a bit before the general public totally accepts vista...the start of it is just to rocky..

Default OS

I am using winxp and vista dual boot hardware manner. Vista 32 bit more problematic. As for the 64 bit vista i have tried too, it seems more stable but there are so not many 64 bit programs to realise the OS benefits.

I tried UBUNTU too, however cannot boot properly and I guess its due to the latest hardware I am using.

64 bit drivers are quite well supported for nvidia motherboards and intel chip sets as well as for the PCIX graphic cards. Do not see any problems currently.

Guess for linux it is still Ubuntu for the best hardware compatibility.

IF you want to try others, here is the link, I am sure you are familiar, in case, here it is http://distrowatch.com/

Vista Ultimate.. Ofcourse.. Vista rocks like little Richard in his good old days...

Not rocky, shaky, or difficult at all.. You just have to know what you are doing.. obviously.. a lot of people don't.
