Default avi not able to play

Now and again...I'll dl a movie in avi format...and the video is all scambled...and ideas why ?

Hmm.. never had that happened personally... but the first thing that pops into mind is the video codec.... but I'll let it to the professionals to answer your question.... Sorry I couldn't be more help, but....

The file plays great on my puter...the prob is when I go to play it on my home DVD player...video is all digitized but the audio is fine..allmost as if it's the wrong format (PAL instead of NTSC in my case)...only happens about to about 5% of my avi dl's though...not sure what to make of it.

Ahh sorry I didn't realize you meant playing in a DVD player. I had that problem a couple of times when I 1st started burning movies, not sure why....

Default

U should use Nero Vision.. and make sure that file is ready for burning and playing on a stand alone DVD player.. All Axxo films are, for example...
