Default How to make a dvd disc from a type of movie.

1. Needed apps: Xilisoft video converter
TMPGEnc Plus 2.5
TSUNAMI-MPEG DVD Author PRO
Dvd shrink (found here) http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/

2. Play the movie and see if its wide or full screen.

3. Open Xilisoft video converter and drag the movie you want to be on a disc in here. (you can do 2 movies)

4. Look on Xilisoft at the bottom it will say zoom. Letterbox is wide screen. Full (keep ascpect ratio) is fullscreen. Change to watever your movie is.

5. Change the profile to an mpeg 1 movie (.mpg)

6. Encode it. It will be your C:/temp unless you changed it.

7. Once done encoding open TMPGEnc plus 2.5.

8. Make sure its on DVD and NTSC with cbr linear pcm audio.

9. Hit next. Then where it says video file hit browse and find your xilisoft encoded movie. (C:/temp) most likely.

10. Once its in the video file then hit next 3 times.

11. It will say output file and start encoding immediately. Hit start imeditaly if your only doing 1 movie. Hit create others if your doing 2 or more. Repeat steps 8 through 11 if doing more than 1 movie.

12. Hit ok then say yes to create file. It will create the file in C:/temp also unless changed.

13. Once done encoding open up TSUNAMI-MPEG DVD Author PRO and hit start a new project.

14. Open C:/temp or wherever your files were saved and drag your newly encoded m2v and wav files into TSUNAMI. DRAG BOTH AT THE SAME TIME!

15. A window will come up saying the files and crap just hit ok. Then a window might say invalid video file. Just hit cancel its okay.

16. You can drag more movies under the first one if your putting more than one on a disc.

17. Hit menu. If you want a menu hit create based on a template. If not then hit no menu and hit next.

18. Choose whatever menu you want and hit next.

19. Choose how you want your movie to start up. Weather it plays automatically or the menu comes up at start whatever you want. hit next.

20. This next one goes with the last one how the movie starts up. Hit ok.

21. Under track 1 hit page 1. The movie(s) are named chapter 1 2 ect.. On the left look for name of chapter 1 and click that.

22. Name the movie whatever it is called.

23. Now hit output at the top.

24. Choose were you want the output file. DO NOT SELECT WRITE DVD AFTER BUILDING IF YOUR OUTPUT FILE IS OVER 4.7 GB. You can write the dvd if you file is under 4.7 GB.

25. Hit start dvd building. Some messages might come up saying that it exceeds the size for a dvd just hit okay for those. Wait a while for it to code. If your burning it right after, your good to go but if your files to big go to step 26. Delete the files after burning because the take up lots of memory.

26. Dont save the project you wont need it. Once done encoding open DVD shrink.

27. Open up the output folder for your TSUNAMI encoded movie. (it will be in My documents/dvd) Drag the dvd folder over into dvd shrink. It will preview the video real fast.

28. Look on the right were it says compression settings. Change from Automatic to custom ratio. Drag the bar below it until the file is around 4 GB. It says near the top how big the file is.

29. Once under 4.7 GB hit backup. Select backup target have hard disk folder. For output files where ever you want.

30. It will encode for the last time now. May take up to 1/2 hour.

31. Once done encoding open TSUNAMI again. Hit launch dvd writing tool.

32. Open your output folder for the dvd shrink encoded movie and drag the dvd folder into the dvd writing tool. (Its probley in C:/dvd)

33. Stick a blank dvd (- or +) into your disk drive.

34. Hit write dvd and when its done then your good to go. Put in your dvd player and watch it. DELETE ALL THE FILES AFTER YOU KNOW IT WORKS BECAUSE THESE CODED MOVIES TAKE UP LOTS OF SPACE!

Have fun watching movies!
