And what UN is doing there to begin with? All they do so far is supporting and hiding terrorists. That was the case in Yugoslavia, that looks like the case now in Lebanon.

And as always - I have no sympathy for those animals who fill rockets with ball bearings and metal shards to inflict more damge on civilians in Israel, I have no sympathy for the barbarians who were shooting children in Beslan, I have no sympathy for beasts that were throwing new-born babies out of hospital windows in Chechnya!
Agreed, it's about time we stood upto these scumbags...when they get caught they plea for human rights..what about the human rights of the innocent victims that they kill/terrorise?

I have to agree that the Hezbollah are religious fanatics that will stop at nothing to prove their point. Speaking of suicide bombers, I have always wondered what motivates a person to do such things. But under the same token what motivates anyone to commit suicide. I guess if you are driven by hate from an early age then it is possible, coupled with a sort of aimless existence.

This movie Paradise Now, which I have added in the torrent releases section gives a kind of inside look into the minds of suicide bombers. Download the torrent, watch the movie and post your thoughts.

Regarding proportional response, the capture of two, armed soldiers in no way justifies the bombing and slaughter of civilians. Please dont assume that this is an anti Israel message. I have long admired how the Israelis have turned a piece of desert into an oasis through long hard work, and unlike the general feeling in that part of the world, they without question have the right to exist. But others in that area have the right to co-exist.

It struck me that this over reaction maybe in part a ploy to drag Iran into the fray and thus negate any need for America to go via the UN to appropriate its oil fields.

I guess only time will tell how this pans out but I can't believe anyone can defend the completely disproportionate response of the Israelis. 203 civilians dead for two soldiers, didn't the Nazis get up to that kind of retributive crap during the war.

I am afraid you got me there on that one. Got to do some research to figure that one out.
I am here in the north of israel. I was also called up to reserve duty and fought in Marjayun in southern Lebannon. You must understand that the bombing of northern israel was not separate from the kidnapping of the soldiers. the bombs started falling before we even knew soldiers were kidnapped. It was a coordiated attack. For the first two weeks, katysha rockets fell all around my kibbutz. Children lived in bomb shelters. everything was closed, even grocery stores. You couldn't go anywhere, and those who did risked getting hurt or killed. Hezbollah killed over 1000 people in Israel. One out of every five was a soldier. It was an unprovoked attack, and the only problem with the response was that it did nothing. Here we sit 10 months later and are about to face the same problem this summer.
