Accoarding to the #'s im looking at based on the federal budget..we Have exceeded a half a TRILLION $$..thats $500,000,000,000.00 For this kind of money we could cured the common cold sent 4 rockets to mars and bought Cuba with money still left over..Here is the real sad part of all this mess because...

Its worse than that... all that money is borrowed money that we will have to pay interest on... and your children will have to pay interest on... and their children will have to pay interest on... getting the picture? And a lot of that money has gone to big goverment/military contractors such as Brown and Root, and Haliburton... basically it has been a transfer of funds from the middle-class tax payers and their children into the bank accounts of a small number of very powerful, influential, and wealthy individuals. The average income in the U.S. has risen since 2002 while the median income has fallen... think about it... there's only one way this happens... most Americans seem oblivious to this. And interestingly enough, the average household debit keeps on skyrocketing... average credit card debit alone is over $9,000. If it weren't for huge investments by China and Saudi Arabia, our economy would be in full melt-down. This war has been a luxury we simply cannot afford to continue funding...So ladies and Gentleman, there is another angle of this mess for you to look at..All in all im still proud to be a American under the Red white and blue..As for my opinion of our President..well lets just say he is a that needs a good and thats my worth..

Yer right, he is an idiot. Even if he is a very effective one. Sad to say, I have learned a lot from watching his progress over the last few years... most of it having to do with how one gets their way by manipulating, and then how one avoids accountability.

i can't say that I'm "proud to be an American under the Red White and Blue..." however. Even though I did serve in the military. What do I care about the flag, or where I come from ? If a dictator took over tomorrow and turned this into a horrible country, I would still have those, but what would they be worth ? It's not the symbol, it's the substance. That's why we didn't bother "pledging allegiance" to the flag (though we did salute it). Instead we took an oath to "defend the country against enemies, both foreign and domestic". It's not the flag that counts, it's what's behind the flag. If that disappears and you're still proud of the flag and the country, well... let's just say I like to avoid any confusion and would rather not invest any reverence in the flag in the first place. Or in other symbols,

As for Bush... notice that he respects the symbols... which for many is sufficient... but in the actual substance, he's a disaster. Sort of the difference between looking to what he says, versus what he does.
