Default Parenting... Poor little three yr old goes missing

A little girl has gone missing in Portugal, she was left in an apartment in a complex with two younger brother/sister, while the parents went for a meal at a near by restaurant.

It is a heart breaking thing to happen to any parent and no-one deserves such things to happen. I pray for her safe return.

But as a parent I can't understand how anyone could leave three infants alone, even if it's just step out of the front door.

Am I alone on this???

Smile No you're not.

My son has been trying to convince me for almost a year now that he's responsible enough to be left home alone - he's 11 and I won't leave him home alone.

I certainly wouldn't leave a child younger than him home alone!

Even though i have no kids, i Would never even leave someone else's kid alone, if I'm supposed watch it... Let alone my own.. (no pun intended..) I would say, good punishment for the parents.. if that poor kid wasn't the victim...

Parents make more victims and trauma's to youngsters life's then life itself ever could...

I have no kids either, but it's horrible to leave a child alone, my mum very often left me alone at a very young age to go on holiday with... well.. what i called her "shag man" some parents are quite awful and seem to have no morals. I certainly wouldn't leave my kids alone (When, if) Some parents need a good slapping.

But then again.. thats my opinion.

Not alone at all. I feel sorry for the missing girl but have little pity for the parents. IMO if they ever do find her, she and her brothers / sisters should be placed with someone who will take better care of them. Not necessarily a foster home, a more responsible relative would suffice.
