Once you download a torrent.. u are already partially seeding it. Once you completed the torrent. U stay online, and let it upload. Thats called seeding. I make it a habbit to seed, (Upoad), at least twice the amount what i download in MB's... But i have been known to seed a torrent up to twenty times... but no one expect u to do that as well.. What they do expect, is that u check the number of seeds before closing and removing a torrent from your client, and only leave if there are others to take ur place. Or other people get left with only a %"of the file.. not the complete file. If you were to do that anyway, then u are called a Leech.. and sooner or later ur IP will end up on someone's blacklist, and u cant download anything anymore from there...
Any other questions... ill be happy to answer... |

A peer is a person that is downloading the file, but doesn't have the complete file yet. So he's not yet a seed, and is called a Peer. A swam doesn't exist.. unless you are Dutch, then it is some kind of Tode-stool.. or, in slang, a person that talks total nonsense. which makes this a kinda cute misspelling... ![]() I take it you mean a Swarm. A swarm is a collection of peers, or a collection of Seeds.. So if there are 34 peers downloading the same file, they are called a Swarm of peers.. so goes for all the seeds.. together they are called a Swarm of seeds.. |
