Angry Just Need to Vent

Ok I don't know what :censored: decided to make those stupid little jumper things (on hard drives) black - they need to be :echair: ! I mean seriously, I have spent the past few days in complete and total :censored: irritation because of a little, black piece of plastic I didn't see!!!!! All for a temporary fix to my "shrinking space" issue. I was so close to taking a hammer to my comp.

I've never added a hard drive to a comp before, I didn't take any classes to learn how, I'm not even a techie!!! A little :censored: piece of black plastic. Just make em neon for god sake! Or if there's more than one jumper.... don't make one white and the other black so it blends in!!!!!!

Oh... WOOT WOOT me!!! I added a hard drive to my comp.... I rock! Go me!

:nener:

Congratulations, you've learned how to insert a hard drive......... (no pun intended) I had the same problem with the jumpers when I tried sometime back. Power to you Angi.

Why then didnt you simply ask ?... For me it would have been 3 min tops to show you how to do it... because I already knew that fact about jumpers and Masters/slave issues back in 1985...

Teaches you something, doesn't it ?...

Don't worry.. i still like you.. Watching woman fix a computer, while i'm nipping on a large glass of icecold Dr Pepper, in the mean time occasionally sucking on a joint, can be sooo terribly sexy...

I knew about the jumpers, I looked up the proper jumper settings before I started. It was the fact that one jumper was white (easy to notice) and the other was black with copper and looked like a part of the drive!!!!! It fooled me.

I always get tripped up by the small things. But - I managed to solve all of the issues on my own. So I'm still bad @$$ in my book. :guns:

hehe :innocent:

Don't remind me... thats one of those things that doesn't make me wanna go back to the good old days...

Like: you had to put your video card on a specific slot, two slots away from you audio card, or it wouldn't work... Damn Vesa Local bus system..

Those were the days i could find over 500 commands in dos, that made life a lot easier, and Microsoft didn't even know they existed, when i asked them...

Indeed.. the days you could actually do something yourself...

Started off with Dos 3.2, on a 5-1/4 inch disks, the real floppy in my left floppy drive slot, and Word 4,1 in the other..

What do you mean Harddrive ?...
