There are MANY little programs that look legit to an AV program because it doesn't contain viral code, but can also still be malware. I knew a kid on Yahoo IM who distributed what was supposed to be a program to allow users to kick other users out of chat rooms... but it was really designed to allow him to steal the owner's yahoo account. No AV or even anti-spyware recognized it for anything wrong. No offense, but I just wouldn't trust it.
