You have a point Angi420 but i see the general forum as a place to hang out and speak your mind. But with the news section alot of other stuff can be posted the like site news. Whats the next move for U SEEK FILE, Around the world and the torrent community as well different topic different stuff. I see like the important messages should not be mixed up in the general stuff.
Like when RelicDuDe notified us about the utorrent 1.7.1 being a snitch for the mpaa. I see this news that he gave was a real help to everyone and that if it is in the news section, it would be easier to be seen there and noticed. Thats how i see it in my point of view.

Stay on that fence that's cool but a news forum that can give us important news that relates to our own personal security and keep us one step ahead is something that is invaluable. If it is in it's own forum then there is less chance of missing it. What I mean is free up the general forum for just general posts non news related.
